Assembled by the United Nations, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) provides policymakers with regular scientific assessments of the latest findings on climate change. Climate Salon for IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) (2013-2014)

In September 2013 and April 2014, the Foundation organized two workshops to provide insights on the three working group reports of the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5). Once these working group papers were released, the Foundation convened a press conference to provide a real-time summary and translation. The Foundation also invited experts and the international community to analyze the report and translate the information accessible to the general public. The workshop videos, the abstract, and the summary translation are available on the website

Climate Salon for Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5 °C (2018)

To provide society with the latest climate data and scientific evidence, the Foundation was granted access to IPCC closed-door meetings and organized live streaming of the IPCC international press conference for the Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C in South Korea. The Foundation also interviewed three international experts at the site to interpret and highlight the importance of this special report. The videos and the translation of each chapter are available on the website

Climate Salon for Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate (2019)

The IPCC issued the Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate (SROCC) in 2019. The Foundation translated the Summary for Policymakers in one day and provided summarized contents to the local media as soon as possible. The Foundation also invited renowned marine and land water resource experts to the press conference to analyze the impact on water resources. Through the event, the Foundation hoped that the general public would understand the latest water resource report from the United Nations, creating the foundation for future climate and energy legislation. The video is available on YouTube.

Climate Salon for IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) (2021-2022)

When the IPCC released the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6), the Foundation hosted climate salon events to provide timely analysis of all three working group reports. Through the climate salon, the Foundation not only summarized the main points of the reports in an understandable language for stakeholders but also invited experts to share localized climate impacts and solutions. The live streams and on-site events attracted an attendance of over 7000 people. The video and materials for the climate salon are available online.
