The Delta Electronics Foundation has organized the "Green Collar Architects Training Workshop" for many years. Due to the epidemic in 2020, it has become increasingly important to adopt indoor ventilation technologies to reduce the risk of infections. The Foundation then worked with the Taiwan Architecture & Building Center, organizing the first WELL Building Standard Courses to introduce the WELL certification and the design of healthy buildings.
In 2021, the Foundation even offered visit programs, allowing participants to visit certified healthy buildings to gain an in-depth understanding of practical design and operation. In 2022, the courses centered around the introduction of the WELL Performance Rating (WPR) and its Health-Safety Rating (HSR), featuring experts with experience in operationalizing the ratings.
In 2022, over 156 people enrolled in the WELL Building Standard Courses, including many college students majoring in interior design and architecture. As the young generation is more aware of environmental issues, the Foundation expects the courses to be more influential in the undergraduate and graduate education systems, exerting more downward impact in the future.
The courses in 2023 centered around the introduction of the newly released Work with WELL program and WELL Equity Rating. The former program validates products through licensing, which helps the building environment align with specific features or thresholds in the WELL Building Standard. The latter lists multiple action areas and strategies to direct the building environment toward diversity, equity, and including goals.
The course also offered a tour to the WELL Certified office with a Platinum rating, to allow participants to gain an in-depth understanding. In 2023, there were 170 people enrolled in the courses.
DEF developed weather parameters for BIM data platform, allowing architects to build a more energy-efficient building.
In 2012, the Foundation decided to localize the teaching materials for elementary schools and thus designed the Delta Energy Education Program (DEEP) to bring energy education to the existing education system.
To accelerate the adoption of green building designs, Delta has participated in the construction, completion, and operation of multiple green buildings on campuses through donations and management.
