Capacity building and knowledge dissemination are necessary for industrial deep decarbonization. Delta Electronics Foundation and the Chinese National Federation of Industries offer the "Energy Management Professional Course," which is the first-ever training in Taiwan that integrates theories and practices on manipulation, to help equip personnel with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in the field of industrial and building energy management. It features online teaching and multiple field trips that enable attendees to accumulate hands-on experiences. Attendees who complete courses and pass relevant exams are able to receive the "Energy Management Professional Certificate" jointly issued by Delta Electronics Foundation and the Chinese National Federation of Industries.

By the end of 2022, the course attracted more than 4,300 attendees, who worked for chemical, semiconductor, steel, and other high-emitting industries. The course was even utilized by Kinpo Electronics, Inc. to train their factory personnel and suppliers worldwide.

In 2023, the course consisted of five modules: megatrends for energy and climate, energy regulations, energy management plans, energy calculation, and energy-saving technology application. To further help industries respond to the global net zero target, the course was updated to include contents such as the Climate Change Response Act and the industrial decarbonization initiatives worldwide like the Industrial Deep Decarbonization Initiative (IDDI), and First Movers Coalition. By the end of 2023, over 8,000 professionals from various sectors and industries registered for the course, among whom 84 acquired energy management professional certificates.

To further facilitate energy efficiency implementation after the courses, Delta also offered consulting resources for participants and helped five organizations and factories carry out energy efficiency assessments on-site. One company noted that our consultation practically helped them assess the conditions of chillers and air compressors, and collect and analyze energy data. The company further initiates energy-saving projects and begins to detect heat source leaks in equipment.

To expand the energy efficiency-based culture, Delta and the National Productivity Council (NPC), under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the courses in India. The NPC was authorized to use four of our energy-saving technology courses to train their energy management professionals through the e-learning platform. We expect to see more novel technologies, such as highspeed fluid machinery solutions and permanent magnet direct drive motors for cooling towers, being popularized in the industrial sector of India.
