According to UNEP, the buildings and construction sector accounts for around 40% of global GHG emissions. The building plays a key role in decarbonizing in our time. As people are getting more aware of their quality of life, green building trends, and in-demand talents are surging at the same time.

Since 2009, DEF has collaborated with the National Taipei University of Technology, the Taiwan Green Building Council, and the Taiwan Green Collar Association joined later in 2013 to develop the Green Architecture Workshop for green building and green remodeling talents.

Delta and the Taiwan Green Collar Association have continued to promote the "Green Collar Architect Training Workshop" since 2009. The workshop is the first Mandarin course in Taiwan that is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and achieves a technician study credits certificate from the Construction and Planning Agency of the Ministry of the Interior.

To ensure the domestic building rating system is able to comply with international standards, in 2020, together with USGBC and the Taiwan Green Collar Association, the Foundation co-designed the introductory course of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) which is the most widely used green building rating system developed by USGBC.

The course not only introduces the criteria to achieve LEED Zero certification but also takes Namasia Mincyuan Elementary School, the first LEED-certified zero energy school in Asia, as an example to illustrate the detailed process to apply for LEED Zero. The course also includes some side topics such as green construction and circular building.

In 2023, the course had attracted an enrollment of over 1,800 professionals in total. In 2024, Delta's LEED Zero Course has been acknowledged by USGBC to become an open learning resource on its education platform.
