The Asian Premiere of the Epic Nature Documentary of BBC Blue Planet II Is Combined with 8K Projection Technology and Symphony Orchestras.

The "Delta 50th Anniversary Concert" was held by Delta Electronics and the foundation, which was founded 50 years ago, last weekend. Although the concert was postponed in May due to the epidemic, it still drew a large audience this time in compliance with the government's epidemic prevention regulations. The concert featured a selection from the epic nature documentary of BBC Blue Planet II and a live performance by the 80-piece Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus of the score written by the renowned musician Hans Zimmer. It was the Asian premiere of Blue Planet II. The 8K DLP laser projector with a brightness of 37,000 lumens and an 800-inch screen allowed the audience to view the underwater world in an immersive way. The renowned ecologist Prof. Chia-Wei Li was also invited to give a full lecture to remind the public of the importance of marine ecology on the occasion of Delta's 50th anniversary. The concert was a "Zero Carbon Concert" through practical measures such as adopting recycled paper, recycling promotional materials, counting carbon emissions, and purchasing renewable energy certificates.

The founder and chairperson emeritus of Delta Electronics, Mr. Bruce Cheng, said that Delta Electronics is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a series of events under the theme of "Influence 50, Reaching 50" to thank its partners and employees who have supported the company along the way, and to spread its philosophy of "conservation and nurture." Conservation refers to the cherishing of energy, while nurture means treating everything and the environment generously, so that changes can take place and the world can become a better place. Delta Electronics has announced this year that all of its plants worldwide will be carbon neutral within 10 years. The concert will also adopt energy-saving measures and use green energy certificates to create a "zero-carbon concert."

The Chief Brand Officer of Delta Electronics and the vice chairperson of Delta Electronics Foundation, Ms. Shan-Shan Kuo, said that Blue Planet II is one of the most popular nature documentaries in history, and its impact has triggered calls from governments, corporations, and individuals in many countries to take action on marine conservation. This is also in line with the long-standing commitment of Delta to environmental protection. Delta Electronics Foundation is also actively involved in marine restoration activities this year and has adopted a coral reef restoration base on the Northeast coast. Through the sound and light of the Delta 50th Anniversary Concert, we hope that the delicate images and vivid colors projected by our ultra-high-definition 8K projector can raise public awareness of cherishing the marine environment, so that more people will pay attention to the imminent marine environmental issues.

Blue Planet II took 4 years, 125 expeditions to 39 countries, 1,500 days of underwater operations, and more than 6,000 hours of underwater filming to film. The filming process was thrilling and exciting. For example, the submarine of the filming team was even attacked by sharks. These exciting videos, brought back at the risk of their lives, bring to life many unknown terrains, amazing creatures and their jaw-dropping behaviors. The film is divided into 16 short stories and absolutely never runs out of steam. From track 2, "Giant Waves", which is combined with a close-up view of dolphins surfing, to track 15, "Feeling the Heat", with the video of a mother and child walrus hiding on an ice floe to escape from a leering polar bear, the audience can immerse themselves in the blue ocean and understand how global warming affects the ecology of Earth.

Each concert in the BBC Earth series strives to reduce the environmental impact of its activities, to reduce waste as much as possible, and to achieve carbon neutrality. The concert is the first of its kind in Asia, and Delta takes the initiative to disclose carbon and take practical measures to create a zero-carbon concert by recycling promotional materials and purchasing renewable energy certificates.
