A series of "Nurturing Life on the Earth" documentaries will tour different cities in next half year

2023/07/05

Since July of 2023, Delta Electronics Foundation cooperates with Wildscreen, a conversation charity connecting creatives within the wildlife film, television, and photography industry with conservationists, to display a series of authorized nature documentaries in 4K resolution in multiple counties and cities. This "Nurturing Life on the Earth" film festival and tour will last until the spring period of 2024.

Coupled with Delta's 8K projection technology, the festival navigates the visitors through the natural world and aims to raise public awareness about biodiversity issues. The first stop of the film display is the 8K Theater of the National Museum of Marine Science & Technology. We will play documentaries, including After the Wildfire, Path of the Panther, Frozen Planet II: Our Frozen Planet, and Chasing the Rains.

Film introduction
After the Wildfire
Wildlife Conservation | International Wildlife Film Festival
Fire is a force that has shaped the nature of Australia. The continent's wildlife has a long impressive history of rolling with the punches. However, the bushfire season of 2020 was different. It became brutally clear that climate change is increasing the scale and intensity of bushfires. After the Wildfires charts the long-term recovery of wildlife in the aftermath of Australia's recent catastrophic bushfires through stories of hope, human intervention, and resilience. It provides an urgent message to safeguard our environment and bring about the necessary intervention required to maintain biodiversity on our planet before it is too late.

Path of the Panther
Best Ecosystem | Jackson Wild Media Awards
Official Selection | DOC NYC
Drawn in by the haunting specter of the Florida panther, Nat Geo photographer Carlton Ward and a coalition of biologists, ranchers, conservationists, and Indigenous Peoples find themselves on the front lines of an accelerating battle between forces of renewal and destruction that have pushed the Everglades to the brink of ecological collapse.
In a struggle resonating across the globe, the panther's habitat has become an island. Its lush territory transformed into subdivisions. A paradise - vanishing into thin air.
This odyssey of hope and heartbreak is the culmination of more than five years of field research, half a million still images, and over 800 hours of ultra-high definition camera trap footage. Against all odds, wild panthers have been stunningly captured in their native ecosystem, as they've never been filmed before. These wide-ranging apex predators, one of the most elusive and endangered wild cats in the world, are also the inspiration for a visionary idea: a wildlife corridor. It's the beginning of a wild 'path' that could one day stretch into every corner of the American continent. What began as a moonshot photo and film mission is evolving into a 'Path of the Panther' movement. This groundbreaking collaboration with the National Geographic Society and other partners inspired the passage of the Florida Wildlife Corridor Act - the first legislation of its kind and a blueprint for addressing habitat fragmentation and species extinction across the globe. Today, the movement continues to grow. The world stands at a crossroads - and the panther is showing the way.

Frozen Planet II: Our Frozen Planet
This six-part series – narrated by Sir David Attenborough – explores the wildlife found in the world’s coldest regions: the Arctic and Antarctic, high mountains, frozen deserts, snowbound forests, and ice-cold oceans. From polar bears to penguins, and from snow monkeys to Siberian tigers, each species must overcome a unique set of challenges to endure its extreme environment. These frozen worlds have reached a tipping point – their future hangs in the balance and with it, so does ours.

Chasing the Rains
One of the most majestic, unspoiled, and rarely filmed areas in Africa is an exploration of how wildlife including cheetahs, hyenas, and elephants survive the cycles of drought and rainfall.
