To embed the concept and awareness of net zero energy in the education of primary schools, Delta energy education program and teaching material of 2023 centers around the introduction of net zero energy building. The energy volunteer training of the corporate is held by Delta Electronics Foundation on 9th and 10th June.
This year there are over 30 corporate employees in total receiving the training. This batch of volunteers is trained to know LEED Zero Energy certification, as well as multiple building passive designs essential to achieving net zero energy in different climate zones. These include ventilation, opening, shading, insulation, etc. Coupled with teaching aids, they also learn how to use these objects such as building blocks and puzzles to support the teaching and especially make learning more attractive. Now these volunteers in succession enter into different schools to impart the knowledge to students since the second half of 2023.
Over 17 years, Delta maintains the consistency and resolution to continuously implement energy education every year. Our teaching materials are developed to promote low-carbon building and transport. Two years ago, Namasia Mincyuan Elementary School, the reconstructed green campus under Delta’s support, became the first academic campus in Asia to hold the LEED Zero Energy certification. We then do not merely want to establish the pioneering practices in net zero energy buildings, but also impart the concept to our next generation and those who can continue the climate actions.
