2016 Delta Environmental Scholarship Award Ceremony – a Diversity of Research to Advance Sustainability
The Delta Electronics Foundation (DEF) held its environmental scholarship award ceremony on the 13th of July, 2016. Delta is sending seven masters students and two professors to further their studies in the Netherlands and United Kingdom. Delta's Founder and Honorary Chairman Mr. Bruce Cheng personally presented the certificates. He encouraged these young talented people to bring new knowledge and international low-carbon trends back to Taiwan.
Also present at the ceremony were Mr. Chris Wood, the Representative of the British Office, Mr. Wouter van Marle, Head of Innovation, Technology & Science Department Netherlands Trade & Investment Office, as well as Professor Won from the K.T. Li Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology—all of them offered their respective words of wisdom to the scholarship recipients. Mr. Bruce Cheng mentioned that there have been over a hundred graduate students and teachers that have received Delta scholarships. Many of them are making a difference in all areas of the sustainability realm, such as for NGOs, government, think-tanks and academia.
